Frogpad - One Handed Keyboard for the Disabled

Disabilities in the Classroom
FrogPad™ is a great tool for students with disabilities. In an education system where inclusion and mainstreaming have become very popular practices, FrogPad™ further enables students with disabilities to function normally in a regular classroom. Its design allows students to type quickly using only one hand, and its size makes it easily portable as well as hardly noticeable to others. Students also love the fun nature of the keyboard with its bright color and cute logo. Most students have referred it to as “cool”. Think of the impact this keyboard makes for children with Dysgraphia and Cerebral Palsy.
Unlike previous approaches to one-handed typing, FrogPad™ is intuitive and uses full sized keys just like the QWERTY keyboard you have grown to love. The letters have been arranged on the FrogPad™ to improve typing speeds over the QWERTY and half QWERTY methods. You may have been unimpressed with chording keyboards because of their awkward look and many complicated key presses. With the FrogPad™ you only need to use a maximum of two fingers at a time to access any letter. FrogPad can generate every function of the standard keyboard. You never use more than two fingers at a time. Control and Alt are Stickey keys, and the use of two fingers is considered one key stroke. We have the design for the use of FrogPad for Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, Pin yin, Korean, and Hiragana. FrogPad was always designed for the portable wireless internet world. The first model was USB in order to prove up the concept, and was later found that the market for the physically and ergonomically challenged was a critical one to enter. The response from Parents whose children have Cerebral Palsy would make you cry.

FrogPad, an innovator in data entry technologies for mobile computing, has been capturing the hearts, minds and digits of the growing corporate technology market with the introduction of 4 new and original one-handed keyboards since 2003.
FrogPad is launching the first specialized online tutorial created by De Marque, the renowned creator of E-Learning typing tutorials for corporate settings and for grades K-12 in the US and Canada.
The FrogPad keyboard is easier to use than a standard keyboard because it is one-handed as most our activities are, and it has been designed around the 15 most frequently used letters by all languages using the Roman alphabet. The De Marque typing tutorial for the FrogPad keyboard features “Friendly Froggie” to train users to type very efficiently with one hand. The On-line tutorial is available in English, and will soon be in French, German and Spanish.
